Try a fight before you fight it: simulation
Published
In short: pick some of your small craft, press Simulate and choose who they fight. Exact copies fight it out in a separate area; your own ships are untouched and nothing is lost.

At a glance
| Who | your small craft: fighters, scouts, squadrons |
| Start | Simulate on the unit card, or Shift+S |
| Opponents | your pick, Mk0 to Mk3 |
| Copies | same class, Mark, stance and fit; fresh hull and ammunition |
| Reset | Shift+R |
| End | Shift+E |
How it works
- Select the craft you want to test.
- Press Simulate and pick the opponents and their Mark.
- Watch. Copies of your ships fight in a separate simulation area. The ships you selected stay where they were, untouched.
In the simulation a bar at the top lets you:
- add more enemies on the fly: raiders, or an enemy carrier;
- change their Mark;
- Reset your side to full strength, as it started;
- End sim and go back to your own view.
Why
To test a stance or a Mark before you send your own ships in. Flight simulators and military training work the same way: rehearse first.
More: squadrons, guns and ranges.
