Escorts, raids and a raider carrier at the gates: raids and sieges
Published
In short: raiders don’t wait for you. At the start a raider carrier lands outside Bangkok and sends its squadrons to raid the city, and keeps them coming: broken squadrons fly home, are repaired and launch again. Escorts guard their ships. Ore pays for all of it. Numbers are placeholders.

At a glance
| Escort reach | goes after hostiles within 6 km of its ship |
| Escort chase | up to 9 km from its place, then back |
| Raider carrier | lands 15 km north-east of Bangkok |
| Deploying | 30 s after landing |
| Squadrons | 3: one guards the carrier, two raid |
| Repair in the hangar | 60 s, to full, lost jets replaced |
| Missiles | 2 a jet, reloaded while docked |
| Raider carrier’s ore | 2,700 t, roughly ten raids |
Escorts
A squadron following a ship as its escort goes out after any hostile within 6 km of that ship, from any side. It chases up to 9 km from its place beside the ship, then comes back.
Raids
Raider squadrons fly to a town, fighting whatever is in their way, then circle over it and go after anything hostile nearby. The town shows UNDER RAID.
The siege of Bangkok

- It lands 15 km north-east of the city and deploys for 30 seconds.
- It launches its three squadrons: one stays over it as its escort, two raid Bangkok.
- A squadron that breaks flies back and docks. In the hangar it is repaired to full in 60 seconds, its lost jets replaced, then it launches again.
- It keeps the siege until it is stopped. There is no retreat yet.

Ore pays for war
For now everything is paid in ore from the hold:
- Repairs cost what building the squadron in a machine shop would.
- A missile costs 1 t.
- Rounds come from the ship’s stock first; once it runs out, each round costs ore, 2.5 t for a 500-round magazine.
The raider carrier carries 2,700 t of ore, roughly ten raids. Your carrier starts with 2,970 t, and your docked squadrons are repaired the same way, automatically, while there’s ore aboard.
