Point defence turret
Published
A rotary gun, M61 class, on a medium mount. It shoots at incoming small craft.

- 25 rounds a second, at 1,100 m/s, from a 500-round magazine.
- Reach: 1,250 m at Mk3, 625 m at Mk1. Reach comes from how tightly the gun groups its shots.
- It retracts. Pulled in, it can’t fire and can’t be hit. It comes out by itself when a threat closes, and pulls back in 3 seconds after.
Fitted on: the carrier, three mounts: one on top of each stern pod and one under the belly, aft.
